Cogeneration Plant Oil Termoindustriale

Man Diesel's green cooperation with Termoindustriale

The press release done by Man Diesel about the successful partnership with Termoindustriale

Man Diesel Engines

TERMOINDUSTRIALE.
Established in 1964 as an industrial plant assembly operation, today Termoindustriale designs and installs complete plant in various parts of the world. The company delivers certified quality in every phase of the process: from feasibility study to design, preparation and management of authorization procedures, construction, installation, assistance with commissioning and start-up, and training of the Principal’s personnel, through to after-sales service providing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.

MAN, where Diesel was born.
The engine patented by Rudolf Diesel in 1892 began its life in MAN’s factory in Augsburg. It was originally designed to run on peanut oil, and only later on fossil fuels, which at the time were plentiful and cheap. The young Diesel was already forecasting their depletion, however, and predicting the use of renewable vegetable sources of energy. In  speech in Paris in 1912 he said:
"The use of vegetable oils for engine fuels may seem insignificant today. But such oils may become in the course of time as important as the petroleum and coal tar products of the present time".
Today MAN Diesel leads the world in the production of light and heavy duty static engines.

Endothermic engines
Rudolf Diesel created the first vegetable oil-powered engine at the M.A.N. works in Augsburg (Germany) in 1892; fossil fuels began to be used only subsequently, as they guaranteed superior performance in terms of fluidity and heat power. Around a century later, the costs reached by oil products, combined with the financial incentives linked to the Kyoto Protocol greenhouse gas reduction targets, have made the use of biofuels increasingly competitive.
Vegetable oil engines can be light-duty (High Speed) or heavy-duty (Medium and Low Speed) PIC.3 .

Though high Speed engines are less expensive to buy, their maintenance costs and specific consumption are higher, their mechanical parts are less reliable, and their performance is more sensitive to the type of oil used. Medium and Low Speed engines are in the “heavy-duty” category, and although they require a larger initial investment, they will run on any type of oil, have lower maintenance costs and offer superior performance in terms of wear and energy output.
